1960 Bromma Smides och Mek. registered 1960-10-05.

1967 The first telescopic spreader in the world produced for Gothenburg, New York (Port Elisabeth), Glasgow and Zeebrügge.

1968-1980 Bromma produces 5-10 spreaders a year.

1980 The production has increased to 12-14 spreaders a year.

1981 Nordstjernan acquires Bromma Smides och Mek. Verkstad AB.

1982 Agents established in France, Italy and Malaysia.
Bromma, Inc. established in North America.

1984 Bromma GmbH established in Germany. The plant in Vällingby extended.

1985 Bromma Conquip AB registered 1985-08-05. The premises in Vällingby expands.

1985 CAD technology implemented.

1986 The North American spreader manufacturer Ropco was acquired and Bromma, Inc. starts manufacturing spreaders in North America. Break-through in Hong Kong introduction of the light weight spreader.

1987 Bromma spreaders produced in USA. The American organization expands and premises are acquired. License production in Korea.

1989 Bromma Far East established in Singapore.

1989 Zetterbergs Industri AB acquires Bromma Conquip. The first major order (MGM) is received for delivery to the Port of Singapore and Hong Kong.

1990 Conquip International established in North America.

1991 Bromma Conquip (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. starts manufacturing in Singapore. Conquip International receives its first major order.

1994 Bromma Conquip is awarded the SS-ISO9001 certificate.

1996 Bromma (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd starts manufacturing in Ipoh, Malaysia.

 
1999 Bromma Conquip is awarded the "Swedish Steel Price", handed over by the King of Sweden.

2001 Welding workshop established in Poland. Bromma Middle East FZCO is established in Dubai.

2002 Kone acquires Bromma who take's over all Kalmar spreader manufacturing. Bromma Tampere starts manufacturing.

2003 Tandem 45 introduction.

2004 Bromma receives the biggest order in it's history from Pusan Newport Company in South Korea of a total of 63 units - 59 units of YTR45, 2 units of HSM6 and 2 units of EH9.
 
2007 Bromma’s releases the next generation spreader control system – Bromma SCS³ that makes possible fast and specific fault diagnosis and the opening up of a new area of functionality – spreader prognostics.
 
2007 Bromma releases first all electric separating twinlift ship to shore spreader STS45E.
 
2007 Bromma head office moves to new location in Stockholm.
 
2007 During 2007 Bromma recieved a total of 187 spreaders (both Ship to Shore and Yard) for 3 customers - HMM, PNC and Hanjin. All spreaders were for the Pusan New Port in Pusan, Korea. This was the biggest single project 2007 and Bromma secured orders to be the only supplier of spreaders to these terminal operators.
 
2009 From 1 January 2009 Bromma Conquip AB (headquarter) has been incorporated into Cargotec. New company name is Cargotec Sweden AB, Bromma Conquip.
