The demanding operating environment of container handling leads to heavy accumulated stress. Off the shelf parts are designed for lower stress environments. Parts that may perform well in standard industrial environments may fail in the high stress container-handling environment. Bromma parts are designed and built with container handling stress characteristics in mind. OEM spares are selected, tested and developed in cooperation with manufacturers and subcontractors to meet the high Bromma standards.
Bromma parts are also developed for the harsh physical environments found at terminals around the world. They are designed not only for high impact, frequent collision operations, but also for optimum performance in high humidity and in various temperature ranges. Designing spare parts for real world container handling means special attention to design, materials, stress cycles and lubricants. Bromma spare parts are custom designed and selected for the specific environment that our equipment operates in.
Calculate the risk
Non-standard spare parts are high risk. Real cost and real risk is measured not in the price of the component, but in the cost of the component in the event of failure. Non-standard spare parts are high risk because they may lead to higher downtime and lower productivity due to more frequent failure. They may also damage other parts on the spreader system and jeopardize warranty commitments.
